Antique French Gilt Bronze Ormolu Mantel Clock with Blue Porcelain Serves panels. Circa 1890.

A beautiful French clock with detailed painted scene of a man and lady on front. The clock features Gilt Bronze floral embellishments and strikes every hour and half hour with an 8-Day 2-train movement. 

French, Japy Frere, marked H & C Paris & London and numbered 1948. The porcelain dial has gilt hands and Roman numerals, the porcelain is marked on the reverse of all the pieces, Hant. Collot. P. C. Curq. QR 55. The clock is in great original condition and runs as designed, although it does have a replacement pendulum.
